Hi M - just quickly … of course I won’t be too disappointed if your article isn’t published, I do understand that, and
yesterday I reported the issues I’ve had with logging in and being logged out on the website using @Lula to the technical team (on the home page) but another problem there is that I couldn’t attach a pic, (and now I can’t insert an emoji that I use sometimes) so could you please pass it on to them for me ?

Thanks for the screenshot, that helps a bit. I've tried to reproduce that error but can't. if I login with a wrong username or password I get an error message about that. So it definitely seems like it's not a problem with you logging in or not being allowed to... something else is going wrong there based on your screenshot.
I was clicking around the site trying to get a similar error but couldn't. I did notice that if I click on the search icon in the top right, I get a "page not found" error which leads me to think there's still some updates and/or maintenance going on in the background... or a few things may have been broken by the updates. @RiverSeal @tyme @Jynx or @Shaz51 may be able to provide info on that.
The not being able to de-select underline is also interesting. It either sounds like a problem with your iPad's browser or hardware having issues selecting things, like the underline and emoji options, or some browser compatibility issue. It seems like all the same issue with the underline, inserting emojis and images... all down to you selecting those icons not working sometimes. If was a compatibility issue or even an issue with the updates in the background then I'd expect other people having the same or similar issues. Which leads me to think it's something with your particular iPad. Without seeing it in person and trying it, it's really hard to say. I probably asked before, but is there another device you could try logging in with just to test and see if you have the same issues? We probably just need to rule things out at this stage.
I do also wonder about the fact you're using an iPad and therefore I assume touching the screen to use the site if you have issues selecting other things while using the iPad? Some people do have skin that these touch screens can get a bit funny about. Do you have a stylus pen or mouse you could use with it by any chance? Maybe giving the screen a really good clean may help, but I doubt it unless it's noticeably got stuff on it. If these issues persist, then I definitely would recommend trying a different device, like a photo or computer/laptop if you have (or can get) access to one. Not easy if you dont, I know. Sorry about all the questions... it's just the 'tech support guy' in me coming out.
Riverseal, as you probably saw by now, has notified the technical team and you've reported it yourself, so you should hear back from them soon, and if it's not a problem their end, then they should have some other suggestions for you to try.
I know it's extremely frustrating for you, it is for anyone. But keep trying to let us know about any issues you have (every little clue helps) and hopefully we can get it resolved and it's one less thing you have to feel worries and anxious about.

Hi again
I've been out this afternoon M, doing something ‘normal’ and trying to pretend I’m not dealing with anxiety. It has worked a bit, but I’ve come home exhausted. So thanks for your reply - I’ll probably have to read it half a dozen times to get the gist of what you said 😞
I do have a laptop that is quite a few years old now, but someone with tech knowledge did kindly clean it up, and I guess reset it too, sometime last year.
The thing that’s tripped me up though is choosing an anti virus protector and I’ve never got around to doing that. So now here you are - the only person I can ask for help. How do I make this decision. The scammers and hackers etc of this world scare the living daylights out of me, and that combined with needing to be conservative about money makes it SO complicated for me and I am quite overwhelmed by it all.
So I’ve attached a couple of anti-virus pics in the hope you can point me in the right direction.
We all know the sayings “you get nothing for free” and “you get what you pay for” so is AVG any good ?
It says “
AVG FREE ANTI-VIRUS 2024
Official Site - A V G dot com - Stops viruses, spyware, malware and ransomware with six powerful layers of protection. Free Forever - Fast & Easy Antivirus Software. Download AVG Antivirus. Light & easy installation.
I do banking stuff on my iPad and wouldn’t do it on the laptop, but what about my email addresses, passwords, other identifiers etc, and can email addresses on the lap top lead scammers, hackers etc. to my iPad somehow with this FREE A V G dot com ?
SO SO SO many things to be aware of - but I’m like a lost babe in the woods with it all these days, and everything is changing incredibly fast. It scares me
Im so sorry to load you up with all this M, but I only have you to ask.
I couldn’t add the pics this time. I googled virus protectors and got A V G and pcmag, but you know how it is - can you believe anything online ? and the saying “nothing is for free” and “you get what you pay for” - A V G is free, so ….
thank you M 🙏🙏🙏

Hey @MJG017 ,
Thanks so much for your effort in helping dear @Lula .
I was trying to work it out myself but couldn't. It works on my ipad, so like you, I think it could be the virus protection or some setting on your ipad. OR, it could be internet because it seems like you can log in sometimes and not other times.
I really hope it gets sorted out for you.

Thank you Tyme for your reply. Progress is very slow here because of my lack of technical understanding and of course the reason I am on this forum to start with. My anxiety has been really bad through a lot of the time I’ve been here - so frustrating. But you have introduced another angle I hadn’t thought of - a virus or malware on my iPad (and my iPhone I’m now wondering ?)
What do you think @MJG017 ? Do you think I need a virus protector on my iPad (or iPhone). So much has changed about online security, and I have assumed I didn’t need it because of using Apple products, but am I wrong ?
Thank you yet again M 🙏
Thank you Tyme 🙏
