I've been out this afternoon M, doing something ‘normal’ and trying to pretend I’m not dealing with anxiety. It has worked a bit, but I’ve come home exhausted. So thanks for your reply - I’ll probably have to read it half a dozen times to get the gist of what you said 😞
I do have a laptop that is quite a few years old now, but someone with tech knowledge did kindly clean it up, and I guess reset it too, sometime last year.
The thing that’s tripped me up though is choosing an anti virus protector and I’ve never got around to doing that. So now here you are - the only person I can ask for help. How do I make this decision. The scammers and hackers etc of this world scare the living daylights out of me, and that combined with needing to be conservative about money makes it SO complicated for me and I am quite overwhelmed by it all.
So I’ve attached a couple of anti-virus pics in the hope you can point me in the right direction.
We all know the sayings “you get nothing for free” and “you get what you pay for” so is AVG any good ?

I do banking stuff on my iPad and wouldn’t do it on the laptop, but what about my email addresses, passwords, other identifiers etc, and can email addresses on the lap top lead scammers, hackers etc. to my iPad somehow with this FREE A V G dot com ?
SO SO SO many things to be aware of - but I’m like a lost babe in the woods with it all these days, and everything is changing incredibly fast. It scares me

I couldn’t add the pics this time. I googled virus protectors and got A V G and pcmag, but you know how it is - can you believe anything online ? and the saying “nothing is for free” and “you get what you pay for” - A V G is free, so ….
