With interest compounding your deposit doubles in 7 years at 7%  only problem is housing going up faster so does rent , so yes prices gone up heaps over last3 -4 years so best to get something soon.

Mate coached me. He said pick area then look at options @Bill16  place sold 50m from here for $120k other week, but fixer upper/money pit There were lots of places in that town you were looking at
