That's like it was when I was in 20s re rate. Do you know the Rule of Sevens? @Bill16 

With interest compounding your deposit doubles in 7 years at 7%  only problem is housing going up faster so does rent , so yes prices gone up heaps over last3 -4 years so best to get something soon.
