@Former-Member I nearly fell over laughing when I saw the size of these bundles of yarn they are Huge!!! I am rather pleased because they will come into good use with the many errors I will make on my knitting journey.

Awesome @greenpea! so much fun to be had in the coming days!
edited to put it the right thread
Adding an image of the colour choices of thread with the next handkerchief in line for an intricate edge as the background, just to show what it looks like from the beginning. (this one will be in white)
All these threads are variegations going from the darkest colour back through to white. the one on the end is multi coloured. I can maybe rethink the yellow ... maybe it's an issue I am working on.
@Faith-and-Hope unfortunately, embroidery fine enough to decorate this is out of my reach due to pain etc.
@Appleblossom how lovely to be able to share your skills with your son, that must have been a lovely 'moment' for you both.

@Former-MemberActually it was a BIG surpirse and very indirect as the sister(half) and I are no longer close. Her father and her found it hard to accept how much I put in, but she did not get the cooking, sewing and dancing from her biological mother. It was all me. I did pretend plies with her using my son's change table as a barre .. cos she responded well to dance more than singing or instrumental music. I was her step mother for 16 years from 6 weeks, but I left work and thought of her more as a foster daughter as that was what I had known.
Being a step mother was torturous as everyone wants to pick on you for any slight difference in affection you may or may not feel ... totally messed with my mind, body and heart ...
I am glad she is moving away from the sex industry and her "easy money" as she says as she sashayed insolently past me on her 21st. Growing up is a lot slower these days ... despite other preoccupations with speed ... hmmm ....

As you can imagine I’d like any shade of purple too but I am partial to all white too. There is always something classic about it.
Of course if it was mine it would be one of these shades but I have a feeling it’s not the look you are after 😜
I think go with whatever thread and colour feels right. 💜🤗

@Former-Member Can you got spare handkerchiefs where you could do one of each colour ... it is so hard to choose because they would all be lovely. Cannot wait to see the end product.

So pretty. I think the pink is lovely, or maybe lavender or blue would be pretty just as much.

Hi @Former-Member
Lovely pic. I have a soft spot for Lavender - would look pretty variegated with white I think. Look forward to seeing the outcome 💞

You can get surface spray from somewhere like Bunnings that lasts for around six months @Former-Member ..... that should keep the spiders away.
