Hey 👋🏼 @scruffypuffball I was reading your Walking Away post 4 Feb 2024 - again.

I’m dealing with trauma responses. May and June was hanging on by my finger nails.

I thought I was ok-ish. Had no idea until I was amongst a group of people. How much I don’t want to be around people who don’t understand my needs.

It takes very millilitre of strength to tolerate when someone is talking at me too long 😖

Just grates on my nerves.

@Jynx What do you think? Is that not uncommon in my current mental state?

Oh gosh @Glisten this must have gotten lost amongst the notifications debacle, I'm sorry I didn't see it till now 😓

 

That does sound like a pretty normal trauma-response to me hun, needing to mask and fake being ok, our threshhold for irritation during social interactions can be very low, and make us want to run/escape/hide. 

 

I think it's an astute observation that it is to do with those people not understanding your needs. If they were understanding, what would that look like?

@Jynx you're fine. Not your fault the Notification SNAFU.

If I’m typing an emotional forum post. I usually realise that I should be putting it in my journal.

But this time I needed emotional validation.

I’m getting antsy waiting for my lawyer to get a response from my ex-Narci.

I’m stuck in Freeze mode right now I don’t know how to pull myself out of it.

Any tips?

Maybe I should just go have a sauna?
