hi @TAB maybe coz cats are so tied to the place where they live - can't move them easily for short times.
I stayed at a hotel recently (don't ask - not as fancy as it sounds) that was for people and their dogs - so people brought their dogs with them for holidays. Can't really do that with a cat.
