Hi everyone.  Wont tag as still feeling a bit dodgy after anaesthetic.

First up surgery at 7.30am this morning. Its now almost 4pm, so thought I should provide a quick update.

Surgery went well, so I was told when coming around in recovery. Been back on my ward since about 12noon.

I still have a catheter in, am on oxygen, have 2 IV lines in, and getting low BP readings. But pain well controlled.

I am yet to eat anything since 5.30pm yesterday. But had a cup of tea to try to soothe sore throat at about 3pm. Going to try something light for dinner tonight.

It was lovely catching up briefly with my dear friend who picked me up from Sydney train station yesterday. Devastated that visitors are still not allowed in the hospital.

Must go. Very tired. Bad night wandering corridors in wee small hours last night. Pain was particularly bad, probably not helped by the 6 hour train trip.

Em 💕🙏
