Re: not coping

no other sleep here @Snowie was up at 2 and didn't get back to sleep.
I haven't been feeling all that well and in quite a lot of pain even with pain killers. was even considering going to the ed for it but I might just wait till tomorrow unless it gets worse and just see if its like a 24hour bug thing or something. im suppose to see my nurse tomorrow so even though don't really feel like it I think I might and get a checkup from her while im at it as I see my gp at the same time (she has to sign off so its covered by medicare) kinda wish somesort of other symptoms would come up so its more like a bug rather then just being really yuck and in a heap of pain.

how are you?

Re: not coping

Hi @outlander
There are times in our lives when everything seems to go wrong all at the same time. The only way I can manage in the sort of situation you're in, is to only allow myself to think of one problem at a time. However the trick that has worked for me is to set a time limit on how long I let myself think about it, cry about it and let myself be totally miserable about it.
Then I try my hardest to do something practical, like putting the washing on and then hang the clothes on the line.
After that I give myself to think about one of the other issues and be miserable etc. I try to limit this to 20 mins then etc etc.
You are in my thoughts and prayers my dear outlander. You have come so far in the last few years and your resilience now is amazing. I'm so proud of you. And ...... you're a Community Guide.
Stay strong and keep moving forward. I understand this might feel impossible right now but I have every faith in your ability to cope with the huge load you have on your shoulders right now.
Luv n Hugs 💕💕

Re: not coping

hey @Kurra
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
Yeah i find i have to try and work on one thing at a time too. atm it really just seems like its all blended together like everything is affecting me but a lot of it isn't really significant (or shouldn't be anyway). somethings atm that are affecting me are lasting much longer then the usual affect. not overly sure why though. april is a tough month though with 2 trauma anniversaries, the days leading up to my nans passing plus her passing so i guess my emotions are just frayed and scattered everywhere.

ive been doing some practical things as much as what im allowed to do with all the restrictions in the world and physically (as not feeling the best)but my house is much cleaner lately and ive been able to study more as well so that's a good start.

❤❤❤

Re: not coping

Sorry to hear you have been in so much pain @outlander

Seeing your nurse tomorrow seems like a good idea, just to get checked out just in case.

Hoping you get soe more sleep tonight.

Around for awhile
