Something’s not right

Therapy without talking about trauma details

Re: Therapy without talking about trauma details

@tyme human brains are weird. I know it doesn’t sound logical. I know on a logical level it’s not my fault but then I also feel like it is. It’s confusing. I’m used to be left to my own devices emotionally. So I managed to get through the torturous period by disassociating. It didn’t even feel like it happened to me until years later

Re: Therapy without talking about trauma details

Hi @IceSkater @Spirit_Healer and @tyme hope you are all doing well 💖

Im waiting for the doctors appointment later this afternoon. Not feeling terribly good, eating was hard with a sore face, probably a sinus infection. I have been reflecting upon myself lately, trying to figure out whether I’m Ace or traumatised. Though trauma is the reason behind my anxiety, so I’m confused

Re: Therapy without talking about trauma details

@creative_writer Oh no :((( hope they’re able to find a solution quickly.

It’s really hard when the trauma is linked to physical sensations, I have some ‘ghost pain’ that flashes now and then that has been there since the traumatic event.

Yep hypervigilance is a big part of my PTSD challenges.

Re: Therapy without talking about trauma details

@IceSkater I do hope they have a solution, I’ve been sick for at least two weeks now.

I get ghost sensations, it happens so suddenly, sometimes it lasts for a while too. It eventually goes away. My flashbacks are body based. Hyperviligiance is a significant part of PTSD. I am very cautious around people. I am also afraid of being triggered too
