I want to read my book as well tonight.
One thing with distraction. Can't it be bad to keep doing it so I don't cry? Isn't that a bad thing?
I think it depends. Distracting oneself so much that it means you're never actually letting yourself feel your emotions is unhealthy, akin to bottling them up. I tend to find success in alternating between feeling/processing emotions, and then engaging in distractions before it gets to a point of rumination.

It can be @Birdofparadise8 but learning to recognise when you're ruminating can certainly help

Was there a topic Tuesday on tonight 🤔?

I more meant recognising when you're no longer processing your emotions @Birdofparadise8 just ruminating on them. For me it's when I notice myself going in circles, having the same thoughts recurring over and over.

It definitely can be @Birdofparadise8 - could be something to take to therapy.
I'm off for tonight, good chatting as always. Nighty night gang!
