Morning has broken

Re: Morning has broken

@Eve7, I hope you can have breakfast soon. Do you know what you will be having?

It's cooler here but will be warming up tomorrow again, I am not looking forward to it. I think a swim might be a better option than a walk for you. I don't know about you, I find myself feeling lightheaded when outside in the heat, the pool will keep you so much cooler.

I do feel like I shouldn't really be dependent on my supports and should be okay with monthly psych appointments, yet it feels inadequate. I am just frustrated with myself

Re: Morning has broken

Hi @creative_writer 🙂

I just wanted to pop in and say hi, and that I also feel like some lunch is a good idea right now so I hope you have something yummy to eat and just take a moment to give yourself a break.

I encourage you to share with your Peer Support worker later today the things that have been on your mind this morning, allow you to let some of that heaviness off your shoulders 🙂

Re: Morning has broken

I’m currently just eating fruit, veg, nuts and seeds so it will be fruit for brekky @creative_writer

I made another psych appointment for the end of next month as I need to get a mh plan from my GP before I go again. I was $150 out of pocket this morning!!

it’s nice in the courtesy bus as I get a Cook’s tour around the beach in air conditioned comfort…pretending I’m on holidays!!

Re: Morning has broken

Hi @PizzaMondo, how are you? I’ll probably be making lunch shortly. I really do need to get uni stuff done too, I can go slow. I can talk to my peer support worker this afternoon.

@Eve7, psych appointments are so expensive. Mine has a gap fee too, I can’t imagine paying for the full session. Fruit is a good way to start the day, I usually eat fruit for brekky too. The courtesy bus sounds lovely. Australia has so many beautiful beaches

Re: Morning has broken

Hello @creative_writer - I am doing OK - it's a Mondo (see what I did there, haha!) .. Monday.. and I am like Garfield.. although there is not enough pizza 😛

Slow is good, it sounds like maybe that's what is important to prioritise today... although I am also curious what you are currently studying/working on at uni?

Re: Morning has broken

@PizzaMondo, did you name yourself after Monday? Lol I never noticed.

I’m doing Master’s in social work. They have so many readings, I wish they kept the lectures instead of the modules. My attention span is not great

Re: Morning has broken

Haha, no I didn't @creative_writer .. but mondo did come from these little things I collected as a kid.. wonder if you're familiar, I'll link a picture in here.

That's cool! I can imagine there is a whole bunch of reading in your course, what strategies have you got in place with supporting your studies? Ever used one of those apps that read out to you, rather than reading yourself?

Re: Morning has broken

@PizzaMondo, no they don’t look familiar to me. They look cool though.

I haven’t tried, I think they do have read option on the module but I’ve never utilised it or given it much thought. I could try it. The information I am retaining is not great. I think I’ve been too distracted today

Re: Morning has broken

I feel old now 😛
@creative_writer - take it easy today, I know you have a lot to do, study-wise, but recognise your capacity today too.. no point pushing yourself to read and study if you're unable to retain the info.. but I do encourage you to check out this read option next time when you do!

I must say goodbye now, and speak with you later. Wishing you a restful evening 🙂

Re: Morning has broken
