Grief help please ...in person
Hi, I need to get in touch with grief therapy group or counselling. This grief for me is not normal its a complicated grief as 3 sisters were totally excluded at our mothers funeral. Mentioned once as children of our mother and then it was all about the care estranged sister gave our mother. Our mother was in a dementia unit.
Theres one toxic mentally ill, I wholly suspect narcisism, sister who likes to command the room so to speak. I vowed to walk out if she got up and spoke, she ran the whole service and this was in God's house. so I sat with my head down. I have so much viscious hate for her and its eating me like acid and at night all I can think of is my mother in the ground. Victims of narcisism can have a side effect of paranoia and now I believe slightly they were sick of not having any drama and negative much needed attention and asked the nurses to up mothers meds for a quicker passing, probably not but I know a narcisists craving for any energy.
When I get slightly distracted from my mother's passing and get bought back to the reality, its a bolt of awful awful ripping panic and disbelief.
Rotten sister likely thought she would get oodles of attention. But us 3 sisters, did not look her in the eye or had a neutral expression, something those type of people can't use.
I would like to know of grief help in person in regional victora.
thankyou

Re: Grief help please ...in person
@Dark_Olena Hi Dark_Olena so sorry you are going through such a hellish time. I have been going to a CAT group for the past 6 weeks supervised by a psych. It has been brilliant with dealing with problems from the past and present and future for that matter. Next week I will be starting up with a psych who specializes in this form of treatment. Maybe this could help you? I think your first point of call is your gp and then ask for a psych to help you deal with your problems concerning your family. I hope this helps just a bit. Best wishes greenpea

Re: Grief help please ...in person
@Dark_Olena Hi Dark_Olena it is a type of therapy which helps a person deal with 'ugly memories' and the like. An example would be that of Mindfullness but it expands upon that. Being able to sit with your dark memories/thoughts as a way of dealing with them. I am just at the beginning of the process which is why I am now going to see a psych as I found the group so helpful.
I really suggest you see your gp and finding a psych who does CAT. I am not in your area but I am sure there would be psychs there who have knowledge of this kind of therapy. Hope this helps. greenpea xxx

Ballarat community health? ...
It doesn't look like specialist grief counseling though, just one of a list in general counselling..
Australian centre for grief and bereavement used to have someone in Ballarat but now it's a choice between travelling to Melbourne or online "face to face" through some kind of vid chat 😞
