Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Tigger went looking for his secret garden where he had seen the unknown cat.

He looked everywhere and could not find it.

Tigger sighed as he often finds himself doing when it comes to remembering.

This is ridickerous

It is my secret garden so I should know where it is !

I shall have to retrace my steps in my mind as I have a photographic memory (in real life - Sophia who is not me in real life either just to add confusion)

Tigger suddenly remembered a song which was fun and he thought to himself perhaps he could ask his friends when he sees them next to join in.

It is a song with movement.

This means that Tigger can bounce, dance and sing all at once.

He is going to leave a copy of the words to the song posted on the tree trunk of the hundred acre forest.

He will also write a letter and give it to Horrace or Horace? to deliver as Horace whichever spelling it is has been promoted to Master Bat, much to the annoyance of Aloysius who has been delivering the post for so long and not received any promotion at all. Aloysius does not realise that people feel more comfortable receiving their post from a friendly  bat rather than a grumpy one.

So here are the posted words to the song.

You put your right foot in
You put your right foot out
You put your right foot in
And you shake it all about

You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about

Left foot
You put your left foot in
You put your left foot out
You put your left foot in
And you shake it all about

You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about

Right arm
You put your right arm in
You put your right arm out
You put your right arm in
And then you shake it all about

Left arm
You put your left arm in
You put your left arm out
You put your left arm in
And then you shake it all about

You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about

Right elbow
You put your right elbow in
You put your right elbow out
You put your right elbow in
Then you shake it all about

You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about

Left elbow
You put your left elbow in
You put your left elbow out
You put your left elbow in
And then you shake it all about

Head
You put your head in
You put your head out
You put your head in
And you shake it all about

You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about

Right hip
You put your Right hip in
You put your Right hip out
You put your Right hip in
And you shake it all about

You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about

Left hip
You put your left hip in
You put your left hip out
You put your left hip in
And you shake it all about

Whole self
You put your whole self in
You put your whole self out
You put your whole self in
And you shake it all about

You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about

Back side
You put your back side in
You put your back side out
You put your back side in
And you shake it all about

You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about

Hokey pokey
You do the hokey pokey
Hokey pokey
You do the hokey pokey
That's what it's all about

Tigger suddenly landed in his secret garden after spinning himself around dancing.

It must be a special password to enter.

Tigger was so excited now but there was noone to share his excitement with.

Everyone else was busy.

Sigh

That is how the world is.

Tigger has to remember to be patient.

Tigger has to remember that his friends are busy elsewhere some of the time and this does not mean that they do not want to see him.

Tigger has to remember that he needs to practise more time alone.

He does not like feeling alone.

Yet being on his own was a nice feeling as it allowed him time to just be him without thinking about anyone else.

This own time thingy allowed him to do the things that he enjoyed the most on his own also.

Tigger loved dancing so he practised that.

Tigger loved playing music so he listened to music of every genre as he loved so many different kinds of music.

Tigger suddenly remembered something that Gumnut had written about.

The Beatles.

Tigger was going to ask all of his friends who was their favourite Beatle member..

Aaaah he was tired now....

He would take notice of what his body was telling him any lay down and rest. He could read a story.

There was a book about Alice's adventures in wonderland which he read over and over and over.....

Tigger had fallen asleep....

😴

Oh @Appleblossom

I love language no matter what country.

Oh Aloysius laugh your school emblem.

I do not remember mine from England.

Aloysius intrigues me I do hope someone takes on the character it can go to so many places.

Yes fun, be yourself, be in a world where who determines who is cracked anway.

I started watching Lilian's story last night and my mood was not the best so I have recorded it and will watch another time.

Your nanna sounded very enterprising drying and spraying them in different colours.

I have dried so many flowers over the years and added drops of scented oil in particular boronia to mask the musty smell that they get.

I have just thought that if you feel comfortable you could play the piano virtually. Write a favourite piece. We could stage a musical concert or play.

My mind is going off into my creative world.

I am so happy that you are comfortable being here as you wish to be.

no pressure

just fun

Love you @Appleblossom 🤎

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Excellent Hokey Pokey @Sophia1 Tigger.

Very Bouncy, just like Tigger is....

Yep, "Shake it all about", good stuff, goto do more of that Hokey Pokey "Shake it all about"....

I'll work up to it - Don't feel much up to Shaking it about, when with Tonsillitis.

Horrace the Post-Bat.

Cute & Cuddly most of the time - A bit Bitey & Grumpy when I'm feeling ill (eg with Tonsillitis).

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Dear Friends,

Eeyore decided to wander off from the cave for a time to see if she could find some more delicious thistles as the ones they had found yesterday had already been devoured. Along the way she came across the scrap of paper nailed to the tree. She looked and read very carefully and then realised that Gumnut Baby was sitting above it singing the words to herself. Eeyore found this very helpful otherwise she wouldn't know how the tune went although her alter ego is very familiar with the childrens song. So she started singing and dancing and trying not to fall over because doing this on four legs was very tricky indeed. Before too long she stumbled into the most beautiful overgrown garden with a little hut and a chair where Sooty the black cat was peacefully sleeping. She remembered that Tigger was not yet ready to share her secret hut with anybody so she did not try to pry inside but stayed out in the garden. The garden was filled with all manner of fruit trees, vegetables and an abundance of flowers in full bloom. Spring had sprung and was in full effect in this gorgeous garden. Just then Tigger came bouncing out of her hiding place. She had been asleep under the blanket again. Tigger was so excited to see one of her friends that she couldn't keep still and couldn't wipe the silly smile off her face. Eeyore loved Tigger so very much. She hoped that Tigger would always be so very happy. Just then Sooty stretched, yawned and came over and said...

To be continued by you friends...all welcome @Flax @Sophia1

All my love

Eeyore

Hi @Meggle Eeyore

Thank you for your welcome to the story. It will be interesting to see how I play at, and am positioned among the different characters, by the progress of the story. A process of “Inner child development”.

@Meggle Eeyore, I am particularly pleased to read your comments about your happiness ratio in play as in real life also. We have enjoyed some interesting conversations, where my serious side may have been more evident than it is likely to be in any role that I might play here. I love your imagery and mental picture, with regard to Sooty, of a black cat with cream dripping off the chin.

And @Flax Sooty

The French-Italian black cat with green eyes

Thank you for your welcome and encouragement. I really enjoyed reading your introduction. As I have indicated, it was you whose introduction and the connection with your own personality, gave me the impetus to join this interesting band. I do like the part where you say:

“I'm very much a typical cat - humans annoy me most of the time.....”.

I think that many of us share the difficulty with memory and repetition. However, that can possibly be addressed with the statement:

I have probably told you this before.....

It seems the appropriate course of action is to write yourself into the story. I like the reference to mercurial, I think both in terms of quantity and direction.

@Sophia1Tigger

On a number of occasions, and more recently, you have offered sentiments of appreciation. I thank you so much for the affirmation. I am sorry that I have a good deal yet to learn about the various functions of the site. I will continue to work towards a better understanding of how the technical side of the site works, for everyone.

In many ways I have felt “at home” here on the SANE forum website, while at the same time, I know that it is important for me to get out into real life (irl) to maintain a social balance. I believe that I tend to be introverted in real life, and, although there is still reservation there, I am far more expansive in the digital environment.

Having looked up the Wikipedia pages on Winnie the Pooh, there is a character whose name is Henry Rush, said to have “attended the Spelling Bee, kept score at the cricket game, and danced at the Harvest Festival.” I can certainly identify with the intellectual areas of his activity. Since I am unlikely to be asked to dance, I should also be fine in that regard.

Rabbit's friends and relations

Many small mammals and insects in the books are collectively known as Rabbit's Friends and Relations. They do not generally do much or have much character development, and only a few of them are named.

Henry Rush is a beetle. He had a brief mention in The House at Pooh Corner, and has been expanded in Return to the Hundred Acre Wood. He attended the Spelling Bee, kept score at the cricket game, and danced at the Harvest Festival.

With Best Wishes

HenryX

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Dear Forest Friends,

Welcome to Henry Rush the beetle! @HenryX
I am Kanga, by the way 🙂 (you weren't sure)

Kanga is sad that Horrace's tonsillitis has come back, so she makes him a nest in the blankets and feeds him more medicine. She is worried about Roo, who seems to have disappeared, but then she hears a thin wavery voice singing "Put your left foot in!" and sighs in relief. She hops over and finds Roo, along with Pooh Bear and Christopher Robin who are on their way to the secret garden, following Eeyore's trail through the forest. She tucks Roo and Gumnut Baby (both still singing) into her pouch and goes with them.

When they get there, they find Eeyore, Tigger and Sooty the black cat.

Just then Sooty stretched, yawned and came over and said... "Welcome to Tigger's Secret Garden...I am the caretaker here. I make sure the garden remains lush and wild and secret. But since you have stumbled into it... (she looks at Tigger, who is grinning happily) ...you may stay."

Just then Roo, who had been goggling at Sooty (having never seen a cat before in the forest) leaped out of Kanga's pouch and rushes up to Tigger, who leaps and runs away, with tiny Roo trying to chase her. Tigger is way bigger than Roo, so Roo tries running the opposite way around a tree to catch her...Christopher Robin and Pooh Bear giggle at them.

Then Kanga spies Henry Rush the beetle under a bush, and carefully lifts him onto Pooh Bear's shoulder to be out of the way of the shenanigans. "Welcome, Henry Rush", she whispers.

From Kanga

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Good morning @Adge

Tigger is so sorry for enjoying himself so much and forgetting that Horrace the Post-Bat (not Master Bat. Have you been demoted already.)

Have you lost your place due to sick leave?  If you are a union member you can approach your union.

I believe that it was Kanga @NatureLover who helped you and @Exoplanet Little Bee with the special honey to soothe your throat.

No hokey pokey for you for two weeks. You must rest, regain your energy and strength.

You can read along though Horrace as it is very boring being sick isn't it.

A spoonful of honey makes the medicine go round. Tigger had burst into song.

Oh Tigger groaned Horrace, I really cannot deal with you at the moment. I just need peace and quiet so that I can rest. Please go away and allow me to rest.

Sorry......................said Tigger feeling sheepish again and sad.

This sadness thing is so very annoying.

I have to stop this sadness.

How can I do this?

I need to have some therapy to help me work through times like this when someone is being honest to me about their feelings and I am left after with sadness.

I try to take away their pain and then feel worse as mine is increased.

Tigger was deep in thought about all of this.

Then before Horrace had time to fall asleep, Tigger bounced in and said Horrace, Horrace, look at what I found.

Please read this and I will ask our other friends to help me find a doctor for you.

What happens when you eat a spoonful of honey?
Honey also helps the brain by spiking its insulin levels which releases t........ into the brain. T........ is converted to serotonin, which then forms into melatonin. A lot of people call melatonin a “wellness hormone” because it enhances immunity and rebuilds tissues during rest.

The doctor can check that nothing else is wrong after you have started with a spoonful of honey every day.
Little bee @Exoplanet willl know where to find the highest quality honey.

Tigger bounces off to find a friend from his merry troupe....
Who does he bump into.................?

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Welcome @HenryX

Our new friend Henry Rush who is a beetle and is so very good at spelling.

Henry you will be able to help us write notices about pending group events that we might have, pending consensus with the rest of the group.

Please do not apologise for

I am sorry that I have a good deal yet to learn about the various functions of the site. I will continue to work towards a better understanding of how the technical side of the site works, for everyone.

You have put so much thought and work into this.

It is me who cannot follow anything technical. My brain automatically switches off.

I have somehow acquired this trait after struggling for so long with computer issues when my mental health was at it's worst. I have spent time in hospital several times under the guidance of my therapist.

Returning to the outside world is very overwhelming and my mind takes me to a cotton wool place where I can protect myself from spiralling further into unwellness.

So you have helped me quite the opposite of what you think.

If you are enjoying the exercise of exploring how the systems work and malfunction then that is good. However, if you feel pressured or that you need to find answers, I would suggest use your energy elsewhere. Henry needs to look after Henry too.

A hard lesson for all of us.

As far as the real world and this world; balance is so vital for us all.

I land here for comfort and acceptance. Sometimes this does not work as others are busy. At these times I feel alone.

Yet I am more alert now and realise that this is virtual and nothing to do with me.

Tigger wrote about this earlier somewhere.

Lastly following the theme is not a must at all.

Quite the opposite.

Tigger loves quirky and I know that @Oaktree @HenryX @Appleblossom @Adge do also.

Let your mind flow without restriction.

No judgements here.

Tigger lives in Alice in Wonderland world and other tales such as The wind in the willows at times when feeling creative.

Tigger loves his friends 💚
