Sorry @Former-Member
I did not receive notification of your response....or if I did it did not register...I find the new system a bit confusing...probably just a further indication of my confused mind...
We lived there for quite a few years...about 6-7....
mostly remember the lakes ...the great river and what I used to call woods which were probably part of the national park...
You certainly saw a good stretch of the country....wonderful...
my sister went back there this year ....saw Niagara Falls...our old school still standing....where we used to live...although the original house has been pulled down as have many of them...
Some lovely memories for you there....
I might get back there one day....we just do not know do we...
thinking of you
take care always ![]()

I hope that you will be able to visit Canada again @Sophia1 , if that’s your desire.
Hoping that your recovery is coming along ok.
I can imagine that it’s a slow process for you, having been such a major surgery.
You would be feeling very tired after hydrotherapy.
I would love to travel again. It seems hopeless now, due to my health and not coping. But I won’t say “never”.
I will always hope.
Cooking beef and vege soup tonight. Perfect winter meal.

Did you ski and ice skate while living over there? @Sophia1
I remember having a hot spa after skiing.
Stopped my muscles from being sore.
I remember bathing in the hot springs too.

wow @Former-Member
bathing in hot springs...now that is an experience I would love...
I did attempt ice skating on a large frozen pond or small frozen stretch of water...
some young male decided to grab my hand and spin me around in the centre....I fell and the ice cracked...luckily others swooped me up....
he was just showing off and wanting to have fun...
no more ice skating for me though...
no not into skiing either laugh..
making snowmen and throwing snowballs great fun...

Snowmen & snowballs sounds fun @Sophia1
I've not been able to do that.
I've been to the NSW snowfields, last time about 25 or 30 years ago.
Yes, did some skiing on a few occasions, but again that was 30 years ago.
Oh you spotted me, very observant of you.
There must be some way of looking up who's online (logged into forum) - I've never figured that one out.
Rather achy, but okay thanks.
I've been to the tax agent this afternoon - motivational value, got my return lodged.
Otherwise it had become too hard, in the last few years (I always did it myself, for 20 years).
As Darcy suggested, it wasn't too taxing...
Have a good night Sophia.
Adge

Making a snowman and throwing snowballs sounds fun to me @Sophia1
I spent a lot of time doing that as well. Feels like I’ll never get well. Stress knocks me down constantly. I know you know that feeling.
I will say nighty night now. Sleep well.
💜💖
Hi there @Adge 👋
I noticed you there too. 😊
I see your “likes”.
Good on you for doing your tax return already.
Aches and pains are hard to live with.
Take care.
Feeling the same.
Night night. 😴

Haha @Former-Member @Adge
I am a night night person....not sure where I got that from...don't think it was from my parents....
no matter....it has a comfy reassuring tone I feel....
You have certainly done some travelling too when younger......We got to see a bit of the world too...
Scandinavia sounds fascinating....
I have relatives of relatives in some interesting countries...won't say where again for privacy...
Having hopes is human and important when we are unwell....imagination...dreams are such good medicine..
regardless of where we are in reality...
I agree that we also need to have a realistic view of our world ....bring our thoughts back down to earth...a healthy balance...
Having a sprinkling of imagination....a swirl of dreams ....a chalice filled with hope.......every child should experience this...so as I am never going to grow up...I carry this with me...this works for me...
Adge I spotted you in as saw that you had "liked" a post or two...
Taxation return...yuk....yes I have used my husband's tax agent for the last few years...anything to do with paperwork...updating finances....bills sent my anxiety spiralling....so I added my husband as an authorised person to my accounts in my name only....
as for taxation I stuck everything in a large manilla envelope...dot points written on the front...anything that the agent needed clarification on he rang and discussed with me...I had to explain that I was on extended sick leave...not giving the reason...to clarify varied income..he was very respectful and we even had a chuckle...a tax accountant with a sense of humour a rare find...He was semi retired...hence he had refound humour...
Hoping that your aches are giving you a reprieve every now and again...
Are you still continuing with the intermittent friday evening meeting with your friend?
take care all
shall look for another picture to visit today...
I might look for Scandinavia for you @Former-Member
