soul’s year of recovery

Re: soul’s year of recovery

Remember that this time of mourning is your absolute right.  DO not let anyone take it from you.  Your dog was part of your family, as it should be.  The tears that you cry are natural beautiful tears for a wonderful companion.  I will send you all of the comforting thoughts I can.  Just know that your feelings toward your dog are perfectly natural and right. If you didn't feel the way you feel, THEN there would be something strange or wrong,  your feelings of loss demonstrate that you are a good person.

Re: soul’s year of recovery

Hi @ soul my bad. I assumed it was a cat re fur baby. I got mine put down after 10year partnership. I was going off to make my fortune and no one would look after her anymore when I was away. They made me take her in and hold her while it was done. She stood on my thighs paws on steering wheel going there. Was perfectly behaved while waiting. And just went flat like air going out of a balloon when they did it. I had lots of cries, continuing over first 12mths then fond hellos, memories. And I didn’t make a fortune. She was/is in a better place though.

Re: soul’s year of recovery

Happy and sad times this weekend for me. I caught up with my new (not so newish now) male friend and also my kids so that was uplifting. Missing my dog like crazy especially after seeing so many pooches out and about. Can’t believe that last Sunday I was taking her for a long walk and the next evening, I was saying goodbye 😥🐶

As I live alone, the house is so quiet now and I am always expecting that she will be not far from me.

Next weekend, I will be heading off to see my older brother so that should be a welcome distraction.
