A long rave

Re: A long rave

Hi everyone

It feels like forever since I've been here! I hope everyone is going well enough.

I wanted to pop by to show you these @Mazarita - a couple of my morning pics from the last fortnight.

There are lovely tall gums alongside a creek where I am staying. Some mornings they've looked pink with the sunrise and other mornings I can only see the ones closest because of the fog. Most mornings I've been getting up around 5 (sometimes a bit earlier) which is a big improvement for me and it also means I still have some of that quiet morning to enjoy.

Wondering how you're (all) going?

Re: A long rave

I'm trying to find a 4 or 3large bedrooms to rent since April and  sometimes there's been more than 40 people going for the one house, it is so hard. I have applied for 10 so far and heard nothing, I  saw 4 over the weekend, have 3 tomorrow and then another 2 sunday and Monday, there were 2 i would like but know of 1 i didn't get, the one i saw today would be good as well. I don't know there process of how they work them out, is, as it's done on line, there's another one on Monday that i would love to get as it has a spa bath in the main bedroom, but i hate to think how many will go for that.

Have appointment with my physcologist tomorrow so im hoping they could help me with renting as its getting to much for me now.

Re: A long rave

Hi @CheerBear, great to see you here too. Look forward to seeing the image when it clears moderation.

Sounds good that you are sleeping later but still finding dawn. The creek and gums, beautiful, perhaps especially with the fog.

There was once a night in the bigger city near here (lived there for some years). On the 5th floor of an apartment block on the top of a small hill. Great views. One night the fog came off the river and enveloped the whole city. I saw it from up there pouring off the river, filling the air and streets until there was a sea of deep fog. Magic, in the middle of one night.

I've been better lately. The change of meds is settling. My psychiatrist and I have switched two of them now for ones that have less of a weight gain profile, and also both of them are said to be especially good with bipolar depression, which is welcome.

I do now feel better on these than the ones previous, both of which I'd been taking for several years. Feeling a bit more alive and awake and generally better in mood, but still falling in lethargy holes too. Probably still rapid cycling to some extent, but living it okay. In the middle of a video. Seeing my close friend a lot, and in the process making a couple of new ones hopefully. Smiley Happy

Hi @saturnzoon, sorry to hear your housing search is very hard for you. The last couple of times I've had to look for a place, I've also looked at very many before being successful. I always spend a lot of time making sure the application is as strong as I can make it. I give referees I know will speak well of me. I give all the supporting documentation they ask for. As you said, they only go by the application, so it helps if it is as strong as we can make it. It is usually a rollercoaster for me too, a highly anxious time, but I try to stay positive and hopeful as best I can, even though there are disappointments. I think Centrelink have social workers that we can sometimes speak to, and may be able to help. Not sure if you are in the workforce or not. If I was in your position now, I might ring the SANE helpline tomorrow and ask if they know of any community agencies in your area that might be able to help. The helpline number for SANE is 1800 18 7263. They also may be able to help with the distress you are feeling.

@Mazarita

Thanks. Now if @Phoenix_Rising

could come back, I would have 10 of those Kermits. I've missed their presence here. Even if I don't interact with them, it's a comfort knowing they're around. It's a similar thing with other members.

Re: A long rave

Same with you too, @Sans911, it's a comfort in some way to me that you are here, even though we haven't chatted very often. I've missed @Phoenix_Rising too and have wondered what happened with her. I have wondered and hoped for other members who have left too.

Re: A long rave

Morning everyone ☺

@Mazarita the fog view would have been an awesome sight. There's something about fog that I find captivating and I really enjoy waking up to see it or watching it come through. This morning is very cold, dark and still. I've just walked to the kitchen to make a drink and can see the garden lights are all fuzzy looking look dampened with another morning fog. Soon I'll take my coffee (I am down to only 2 cups a day 😮☺) to a footpath that leads to the creek and I'll watch the sun come up from there.

So good to hear you're feeling a bit better. I admire your perseverance with the rocky med change. Great to hear you're seeing your friend often also ❤

Thanks @Sans911. It's nice to be here again. It feels like I've been away from here forever (funny how forum time feels different from not forum time sometimes).

Hope the morning starts well for all.

Morning everyone

Re: A long rave

Good morning all @Mazarita @outlander @greenpea @Sophia1 @CheerBear @Sans911 @saturnzoon @Shaz51 @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope @The-red-centaur @Exoplanet

Nice to see you again @CheerBear and you too @Sans911  CB I love your pictures.

Sorry to hear what you're going thru with house hunting @saturnzoon.  CatholicCare and AngliCare are two agencies I know of that help with housing, especially if your current lease is nearly up and you haven't found anything.  Plus you could google Social Housing for your area I think that would give  you some more help options.  Best wishes for a successful outcome soon.
