Hi everyone .... ☕️💕

Goof morning, everyone (I like that slip of the typing so much I'm going to keep it for a while).
Have I mentioned to others before how disturbing I find the air traffic where I live? Just as I wrote that last happy greeting, a big jet flew over and (as usual) had me fearing for my life for a few moments (as in it's going to malfunction and drop on my head). Grrrr. This place is like paradise in some ways, except it's also like living in 'The Castle'. I can laugh about it again now that the jet has passed over without malfunction. Thing is, they fly over about every fifteen minutes here! You'd think I'd have got used to it after four years of living here. But no, phobia fresh as ever (thanks a lot, brain). Luckily I seem to recover myself as fast as I get scared, that's the silver lining, I guess.
Gee this discussion thread is busy at the moment! Nice to have so many friends come visit. Other times it's almost been just me and @eth for longish periods of time, which was great too.
However, this means my responses tend to be a bit extra long winded trying to respond to everyone (notice I said 'extra' long winded, as I am long winded at the best of times, especially in this home of the 'long rave'). By the way, I just want to remind everyone that you are free to post your own 'long raves' here any time you like, or short raves, as you wish. It's good as a chat thread too.
@Faith-and-Hope, ah, I like 'bug hugs' too and vaguely remember it now, hehe. Foot massage sounds wonderful. So hope you get to see the dolphins.
@greenpea, very best wishes for a good GP referral to a new psychiatrist.
@eth, grrrr to the short notice change from support worker. Other possibilities for activities today might be: beach, botanical gardens, a nice longish walk and talk somewhere. Is it possible you could work on getting out of the place independently for walks with the support worker? For example, you could go somewhere together and she could wait in a coffee shop while you go for a solo walk around the block. I suspect that overcoming those sorts of fears involves gradual 'exposure therapy'. My support worker and I did a fair bit of work on exactly that and it did help. Hope you enjoy whatever you do today.
@catgirl, that is really awesome that you pushed yourself out the door. I too have a long history of 'rescheduling' appointments when I find it too hard to get out of bed in the morning. Have improved over time, happy about that. Hope your day is happy too.
@Former-Member, mohair is lovely. I like the idea of a Dr Who scarf. Hope your indoors day is peaceful and enjoyable.
Good morning too to @outlander, @Former-Member, @Former-Member and everyone.

Good morning to you also @Mazarita. I don't have much to say at the moment apart from thanking you for tagging me in this post. For the sheer fact you mentioned the Botanic gardens. That is something i do everywhere i live, sometimes many many times, I do like plants. I had completely forgot about going to the local one before i leave. So thank you Also i read somewhere, you have a better chance of winning an Olympic gold medal than being in an aviation mishap. Anyway, I hope you have yourself a day of grandiose proportions!

@Former-Member, thanks for the message. So glad the mention of botanical gardens was helpful. Thank you for your reassurance about Olympic gold medals and aviation. I am one of the least sporty people you will ever meet, so I guess that means I just have to learn to endure the noise without the vivid imagination kicking in with unwelcome images of destruction. I don't actually notice every single jet or plane that flies over, but it is a regular part of my days to be alarmed by them. I actually hope my day is not too grandiose. I have bipolar and am in a slightly elevated and overexcitable state at the moment from a recent change of medications. Possibly part of the reason for my very wordy posts at the moment. I know people on the forum understand these things, which is why I feel free to be myself here in just about any state of mind really. Welcome to the forum!

Hello @Mazarita, I am thinking you like the word Goof Morning
Do you think it is anxiety that is happening for you? Perhaps you could mention it to your doctor at the next visit? -- this is a good point @Mazarita, i think i will and I have been reading about CKD and anxiety which is on the cards
Hello @Faith-and-Hope, @outlander, @eth, @catgirl,
and hello and welcome to the forum @Former-Member

I do like 'goof morning', scottish sister, @Shaz51
Really glad to hear you are going to mention your anxiety to the GP. It seems you have been talking about this for a little while now, so seems very worthwhile speaking up with your medical supports. I know that, when caring for others, as you do with Mr Shaz, carers can really do it tough. Early assistance for any anxiety problems would seem to be a good way to discourage those feelings from growing over time.
Just want to also tag, @whitedog into this thread. We had great chat last night in the early hours. Hope your day is a good one, @whitedog.
