Self care by growing a garden

Re: Self care by growing a garden

Hello all...

Have been outside weeding one of my garden patches... I hate kikiyu almost as much as I hate using herbicides....

I'm sure you can all understand my current dilemma.

Re: Self care by growing a garden

I pulled up a few weeds for our two chooks- does that count? ๐Ÿ˜„ Chookies are off the lay now, and one is in hard moult so she's looking really ratty, but I can see the new feathers already coming through. Give it a month or two and she'll be fantastically glossy.
I've got a few saffron crocus bulbs in the garden, so I'm trying to remember to check each day in case there's flowers. We've had one this year, and it opened on a day when I forgot, so no "edible gold" from that one. I think they're overdue for a better bed, the soil's quite run down where they are.

@Shaz51 @Smc
Pressure is on ... we picked up a couple of buddleia plants today to fill in a hedge around the chook run. Stopped for a late lunch but will head out shortly.

Hi @Smc @Determined @Appleblossom @Shaz51
One of our beasts went to the abattoir today - organic beef will be in situ in our freezer next week.
