Thank you @Blackbird11
Arrived in Melbourne.
Today my parents and I are going to look at the Princess Diana exhibition and then go back to uni and see my new room.
How are you? I'll read the photo shortly.

Does anyone get a fear that someone might break into their house?
I've just moved into my new uni apartment, which is lovely. My parents have left, and now that dooming fear that someone might break in has surfaced. I've always had it since I was in primary school I’m unsure why, but when I was in the dorm room last year I didn't have the fear because people were right near me.
I am in a three-bed apartment but the other two aren't here. One is on holiday and the other hasn't moved in yet.
This is nothing about SA. I'm purely talking about how I have a fear that someone could break in. I've had it for so long I wouldn't sleep at night when I lived at my parent's place.

Hi @Blackbird11 @tyme @creative_writer @ENKELI @Kyle1 @bartart23 @Shaz51
How is everyone tonight? It's been raining a bit here today. I'm all moved in and now I've been unpacking everything. Does anyone know where I can get a bedside table that is already assembled? I got one at kmart and it was a dud so I took it back.

tbh, if you want to go cheap, kmart's the way to go. Otherwise fantastic furniture, ikea.... but yeah, you'll have to assemble it unless you pay someone to do so.
Alternatively, look for a second hand one who'll deliver to your place?
@Birdofparadise8 Welcome to your new home! Congrats!

I already got one a kmart and it was terrible so I took it back @tyme
Yeah, I might have to look into that. New ones seem to be $200 plus.
Thank you. No one is here yet so that's good for me to be able to set up.
How is NSW? I hope you're coping okay with your parents.

Sounds good @Birdofparadise8 . I mean, if you don't plan on keeping the bedside table forever, a cheapo one is the way to go. lol... i remember being on a student's budget.
Does this new place have air con?
Also, I'll keep you updated re the folks. NSW is hot and muggy. YUK

No aircon but the lounge room has a door I can open and the ceiling fan really helps.
Yeah well doesn't help I still don't have a job. I'm literally applying for anything right now. I'm looking at Coles.
That's okay to say right? There are many Coles's in Melb. @tyme

Okay @tyme
I can't believe how hard it's been to get a job. Right now I'm applying for anything and then once I've got one if the right admin one I want comes along I'll take it.
