Not Coping

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 so glad you had a good day yesterday. What was good about it for you?

Re: Tw Not Coping

I got to have lunch with my aunt, and then we went for a walk. Went back to her place and waited for my uncle to wake up. Then he and I went to the footy to watch Carlton. We had a nice chat, but Carlton didn't go very well. Cripps wasn't playing so that let them down.

I will hopefully be getting a Carlton membership for my Birthday for next year, so I'll get to go to a lot of games.

I couldn't belive what happened with the pdoc @Jynx

He didn't even send the referral. I had to call my GP today to see if she could send one for me, which she has, I hope.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, just been a bit unwell. Migraine peaked this afternoon, still dealing with after effects. What’s been going on?

Hi @Jynx sunshine sounds nice, it’s almost spring! 🌸

Re: Tw Not Coping

Oh what a lovely day @Birdofparadise8. So glad you can spend that time connecting with family. When do you next catch up with your aunt?

Ach, very frustrating with the pdoc, but good on you for taking the initiative to push for it. You shouldn't have to, of course, but it's still good that you did.

@creative_writer It is indeed springy! Which is lovely in a lot of ways, except it also means my hayfever has started kicking in. Antihistamines do take the edge off but the itch is insane.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Jynx, I have mixed feelings about spring too, I’m happy it’s not as gloomy and cold. But then hayfever and sleep disturbances when I get too much light. I hope spring is kind to you this year 🌻

Re: Tw Not Coping

That's it hey @creative_writer. Ahhh yay sun! Oh no snot 🤣

I recommend blackout curtains if you can get em! I got mine off ebay, they're absolute life savers because I'm so light-sensitive. My bedroom is still pretty dark in the morning, allowing me to sleep in whenever I get to. They even have lil stars all over them 😁

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Jynx, I’m good with moderate sun, but not too much sun, it’s not good for migraines or mental health. I could look into blackout curtain, that sounds like a good idea. I’m going to have to put blinds down early in the evenings when the sun is out during the warmer months too. Who thought it was a good idea to have day light savings? Sun setting at 8:45 pm isn’t reasonable you know

Re: Tw Not Coping

LOL 100% @creative_writer like I always get surprised by thinking it's still so early, I can go do stuff! But it's like 7:30pm ahaha. Then in winter it's the opposite. And it's more pronounced here in Naarm too, when I lived east coast it got darker sooner.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Jynx, in summer, I’m practically wearing my evening amber glasses before sunset so I can get decent sleep. There is a significant difference between winter and summer. What would you say is you fav season?

Re: Tw Not Coping

Oooh @creative_writer are those to help block blue light? I have a pair but they're not very strong. Want some stronger ones to help with driving at night.

My fav season is definitely autumn. When the leaves start to change? *Chef's kiss* So pretty! Plus it's not too cold yet, and it finally means the end of summer - which is my least fav season by far. Yourself?
