pipes that can see are like from 80s or newer. they are copper. taps are worn though ,some might be leaking. yes, cracks opened up way more over last 18mths , guess prev owner covered them over, but also had wettest year in decades followed by driest in decades, that does not help. its also strip footings no slab. paths have moved away from house since I have been here too, gaps opened up @SmilingGecko
yesterday
Yes I understand @TAB You could have done without this. I always tell people to get a building inspector to check out the house they want to buy before buying after what happened to me.
yesterday
cracks dont mean anything @SmilingGecko well unless you can put your hand inside them,ha ha . called 'bay of biscay soil' here in SA , its very reactive. get good rain prob close up a bit again lol
the block is worth more that the house anyway lol. def not worthing spending $ on house, well getting bathtub maybe. and maybe 1 more aircon lol
yesterday
Cracks can possibly mean foundation is shifting @TAB but not in all instances. I've done my crypto task for the day. Will do more crypto tomorrow. The event I attended last night was really good. The people were very generous with their time and energy.
You could sell the property as prices have gone up. There are investors looking for properties these days to either do up or bulldoze. You could just talk to a real estate agent and casually ask what is happening with property investors these days in your area
yesterday
i am used to cracks @SmilingGecko not going to do anything about it
if cant open doors anymore or windows shatter or roof collapses may do something lol. No even close, you had better demolish your house tho by the sounds of it.
yesterday
@TAB hey tabby, may be tighten water taps and then check water bill again ? Still at work here
yesterday
@TAB Yes spoke to a real estate agent a while ago and he gave me a price. The house next door may get demolished and the one over the road was fixed up. Same real estate agent for both. Checked all sorts of properties but could not find anything within my price range. Even houses on the outskirts were really expensive. Would need to move into the country or take an apartment but don't have a car. Was reading Money Magazine the other day and people downsizing to get apartments. The only problem is body corporate fees, tight spaces, no pets and nosy neighbours. When does your brother get there, is it today? I'm tossing out garbage and cleaning the kitchen now. Hope your day goes well today
yesterday
yes well i should take meter reading then not use water for couple hours and check again @Meowmy hope work not too bad. yes I should fix taps , bought stuff to fix them ages ago,ha, fixed like one , ha ha ha... they are so bad, hard to tell if off properly , prob need to fix at least 4 taps lol ok 6 ha ha
yesterday
@TAB just tossed out all garbage and its all on the kerb to be collected. Ticked that off my to do list. Its really hot here to do much else. Don't know how @Meowmy is going in the heat. I dusted off my aircon filter today as I suspected there was dust on it. Pulled them out and after a month there was a film of dust on the filters. Glad I dusted it off, my aircon will operate much better. It doesn't take long for dust to accumulate, they say dust it every two weeks in the user manual. I dust every month. Have been checking out crypto Coinbase exchange this morning.
