HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

My darling  friend @ENKELI

Whinging to your brother is allowed

Being exhausted is too. Have you thought about going to your GP for mental health check

1; short term help for a carer house cleaner for say 3 months

Tell him/her  it's not forever ?

Mine is I have this...

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

@PeppyPatti I hadn't considered seeing my GP to be honest. My exemption for Centrelink expires on the 7th and I am getting a little concerned because I don't know whether I am ready to go back to work yet, how it will look on my resume and most importantly how I'm going to pay my mortgage and other associated debts.

I am going to do me today though, mum just called to wish me happy birthday and asked if I wanted to go out to lunch. I said not really, I am feeling lethargic. My anti psychotic meds that help me sleep have been upped and I am still getting used to them I think. Plus the heat always drains me.

I am a penguin, I don't do heat!! Lol!

Hope your day and weekend goes well xoxo

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

Thank you very much @Shaz51!

Happy New Year to you too, and to everyone else — I hope that you've all had/are having a good holiday break… I understand that it can be a stressful time, which makes safe spaces such as this all the more important for us.

A big positive to come from 2024 was that I continued with my education and started learning my mob's language and reconnecting with culture, which has been very empowering.

Wishing you all good luck for the year ahead 🧡

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

"Your message really made me think. It reminded me that even though we're far apart, we share similar experiences and feelings. It's comforting to know I'm not alone in how we both feel Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.

What I felt was both the anxiety about daily money. After years and years of struggle I understand myself better and also - how i spend money.

Iv got a friend I'm very grateful for iv k own her since it been ,19. She's an art therapist + but she's married  a wonderful QC lawyer who has connections with trustworthy financial advisors. I'm Definitely seeing one and booking   in to see one next week. It might take up a bit of.money  but my step mother is gifting me money every three months that stops us from deeply struggling.

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

hey @Shaz51 !!! how was your Christmas & NY? 😊

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

Hey @rav3n 😊

We had 8 at our Christmas lunch and it went pretty well

The family texted my husband later and praised him for a nice and relaxing day

( nothing said about me ) but I will let him have the praise 😇

New Year eve was very quietly spent at home

How about you 😊

@tyme

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

glad the Christmas lunch went well @Shaz51 sucks that they didn't praise you - i'm definitely praising you, i know how much effort you would've put into it!!

spent my Christmas at a family friend's house, we made some nachos and pasta. then watched the sunset at the beach, which was my fav part. new years eve was quite chill for me too, just had dinner at my friend's house and watched the countdown on the television. didn't manage to see any fireworks though, did you?
