Because of my chronic pain @amber22  - an older shoulder injury that has finally given up - I will be taking things quietly if possible for a few days - last week was hectic for three days with a man replacing my back gate and repairing the damaged fence - storm damage.

Then he repaired the frame around the back door and replaced the door - all this is good but so noisy

I have my support worker coming tomorrow and again on Friday - and yes

On Monday I had an interview on the phone with My Aged Care and they will mostly likely increase my level of care. That would be good then I could have a person who knows what they are doing to help me with the shower - 

So yes - on the whole - a good week

That's a great idea to take things a bit more slowly @Owlunar I am sorry about your shoulder, I hope that it doesn't cause you too much pain. I am currently sitting in bed with a disk that is very sore in my back, so I can empathise with you on that heavily. 

That's good that you're getting the jobs fixed around the home, but I agree it can be very noisy!!

How do you feel about increased care for you? Is it something that you've been wanting? I am glad that you will have someone to help you do a bit more with things 🙂

I'm sorry you have disc problems @amber22  - that is not at all easy to deal with - I know. I hope this works out for you. I hope the prognosis is okay - disc issues ooh - not good.

My shoulder is permanently painful - the procedures my pain specialist is doing are starting to make a difference - it was hard during the lockdowns because I couldn't have the treatments regularly and last year was easier. I have had two operations on it years ago now - they have failed - and the shoulder surgeon advised against a shoulder replacement. I am happy about that. I am okay with it - my specialist said he is impressed with the way I manage it.

I will be glad to have the extra help - we need to be active about self-care and I am -

Thank you, I really appreciate your support @Owlunar Disc issues are definitely not fun and the flare up only happened a few days ago so it is very fresh. 

I am sorry to hear about your shoulder. That must have been really hard, especially during covid time when you weren't able to access much, and not able to get the operations and support that you really needed during that time. 

I am so glad that you're able to get some extra help. Yay! Self care is so great, but important to do only when it doesn't feel like a chore, and with the extra help it might make it a bit easier and more enjoyable for you 🙂

Thanks for the hot chocolate and support last night - that was great. It helped so much.

I'm sorry about that disc Amber - I know that is really, really, really painful and can so easily be aggravated.

I hope it's easier today - and self-care needs to happen - I have found it needs to become a habit. I live alone and there is only me to bother about.

My pain specialist is impressed with the way I manage it - that is a great compliment
