The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Hi all.

didnt quite make it to feeling human yesterday and ended up being naughty and self medicated to shut it off. I was trying so hard to be good and not to, even got the guts to ring my CATT to try to get through with big girl pants on. Apparently I needed new ones as thes had become thread bare from the working out they got on respite 😜. Once they fell off I did too 😬

I have lots in my head still but it’s all manageable at this stage.

@Sans911 I read your worry thread. I’m so sorry you have this happening for you right now. It really sucks to put it mildly.

Anyway reading your conversation this morning @CheerBear@Sans911 put a smile on my dial. It was a lovely interaction. I hope this finds you all ok.

@outlander I read your thread but wasn’t in a place to reply. I’m so glad you had support from others though.

Well its it’s time for this black duck to go find some new big girl pants and put them on again. I really hope I find some I like in my size 😆

for all to brighten your day

@Teej the flowers are beautiful and thats more than ok about my thread. Inknew you were following along and didn't want to leave you mid conversation. No obligation to respond 💜

I hope your feeling alittle more human today. I think your already wearing your big girl pants but maybe a change of colour will help 😉

@Teej

You couldn't be harder on yourself if you tried. SH is recognised as coping mechanism in distress. Especially for people with BPD. While it's not ideal because of the potential for physical hard, and the Russian roulette of it all. It also occurs when we have used up all our strength to keep fighting to be alive.

Please try not to see your SI/SH as naughty or bad. It just is. You are doing the best you can at this time. And you are working on changing your mindset & behaviours and this will be a slow, frustrating time. More big girls kickers will be needed.

Thanks for the lovely bunch of flowers to be shared among us. And I'm glad you enjoyed the conversation between CB and myself. That's a really sweet comment you made.

Mmmm... I might have to get @Zoe7to make a knicker wearing black duck. I would that would be an interesting challenge.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Hi everyone,

@Teej I'm sorry to hear you had such a rough day yesterday. I hope today you're being extra kind to yourself. Were the CATT team able to help you? I had a  bit of a tough one yesterday too.. I'm trying to figure out what triggers the "bad" days, because today I feel almost normal. Hmmm.. Mental Health - what a rollercoaster!
