Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Just another thing to deal with @Sans911 but I know others have it much tougher then me. At least my psych and pdoc are covered by work cover which is much more then others have it.

Trying to look for the positive 😒

I hope you are able to work out all you need to with ndis. It sucks that you have to go through all of this.

Hey @Sans911 Hearing you Hon. The system is not a good one and puts way too much pressure on those that need it the most. ll the paperwork and justifications that need to be made to access the support that those that most need it need is ridiculous but you do keep going and you do get back up again because you are strong. Hugs and hugs Hon Heart

@Sans911 Heart
has your day been abit better today?

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Yes, it has been better hun. I had a nice morning at the op shop. Some good conversations with customers and saw some other volunteers that had popped into the shop. I don't see many of the other volunteers as they work different hours and shifts to me.

I had a group interview for a community advisory group (hospital) this afternoon which went well, and I'm now part of a new group of people who have the first meeting next month. This is an opportunity I've been looking to do for a while now. I'm hoping I will get something out of it and can help to bring about reforms and changes.

I came home and fell asleep early. Then got woken by a phone call. I'm just looking at some work stuff now but not really doing anything. I have a work meeting tommorow afternoon with a new person I'm assisting, and how to go print out a package for them in the morning.

My support worker isn't coming tommorow as he messaged me earlier and asked if I wanted to see him. I just didn't know, so I stupidly told him see someone who needs him. I really need him, but I can't bring myself to say that. 🙁

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Hey @Sans911 You probably do not need my view here but it seems that your support worker has reached out to you and the door is still open. Maybe give it a couple of days and message him back letting him know you still would like to see him. I do know how hard that is when you feel like you have messed up that support but I don't believe he would have contacted you if it is unrepairable.

On a more positive note HOn - you have had an otherwise good day - a nice morning followed by a new opportunity you have been looking for - I have no doubt your extensive knowledge, lived experience, insight and wisdom will help lead to reforms and change ...go you Heart
