Oh wow what does that involve @Shaz51? Hope it's nothing involving really big needles 😱
Yeah my mum and brother have arthritis, I think it's osteo but would have to double check, cos I think that's the one that runs in the family, and boy do my joints ache... It's like each day my body picks a new section to be in pain, smh. Makes sense it would all affect our sleep!

I’ve just found this thread. Thanks @Jynx.
At the moment, I’m definitely not suffering from insomnia. My issue is that I go to bed around 8:30 of a night, go to sleep and then won’t wake up until after 10 in the morning.
My CM has said that this isn’t healthy. That I need to stay up until 10 and set an alarm for 7. I tried that last night and turn the alarm off when it went off and went back to sleep until I got a phone call at 9:30.
Does anyone else have a similar problem or is everyone else’s insomnia?
It’s ok if it’s just me. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m the only one.

Hey @Captain24 , I hear where your CM is coming from. I actually did have insomnia, but also what you are describing. I could spend the whole day in bed and it was due to my depression. I didn't want to get out of bed and it felt safer not to. It was certainly not healthy because I didn't eat properly, I slept at strange times, then I'd be awake for days...
Hence I have to be very regular and strict with my sleep routine.
I can add more maybe tomorrow. Feel free to tag me in here 🙂 I'll respond as soon as I've thought about it a bit more.

Thinking back, I used sleep as a strategy to avoid life. I wasn't actually tired, but used sleep to hopefully wake up for something better.
I can sorta see why you (and others do it). It just seems like a safer place to be. Would you say so?

Yeah, this is times when I go to bed or don’t get out because it’s just for the best @tyme
But this is kinda different. I go to bed early because I am tired and I just don’t wake up until late. It’s not like it’s a choice that I just decide to stay there. Does that make sense? I’m getting over 12 hours sleep a night. Except work days but even then I’m going to bed mega early and hitting the snooze button a couple of times.

Yeah, get you. But I also reckon that if you needed to, you could wake up early and you'd be okay @Captain24
It's like when I was with COVID... i didn't have a set time to wake up so the next thing I knew, it was 11am!!!! I flew out of bed and felt terrible that half the day past and I hadn't done anything!

I did manage to get up at 9 this morning so that’s a start. @tyme. I am feeling ok sleep wise now, I’m not tired. I’ll see what happens later as to what time I get tired.
I will try getting up and not hitting snooze. I have a lot to do tomorrow morning so it would be good if I’m alert.

For me, once I'm up I go go go go until the evening @Captain24 . I used to have meds that made me feel groggy when I woke up, but not anymore.
I need to make myself unwind in the evening and sometimes it takes a while to slow down.
