Hi @Sophia1 how is life treating you?
I'm managing OK. Just existing I suppose you could say... The winter solstice is not far away... What's your thoughts and feelings on the shortest day of the year?
I've slowed down a lot in last few months. I'm just taking life as it comes. I don't fixate on how I want things to be any more. I just focus on what I need.
Oh that reminds me. I have an errand to run for a friend. I hope you have a good day xx
how is life treating me? I am not one hundred percent sure to be honest....state of mind disoriented still..
am back home now...hence have internet access...comforting to be able to contact friends on here...
I love the winter and summer solstice fascinating...the whole idea of the celestial equator on the celestial sphere...the north and south poles ....
This is something that I was often reminded of when I went overseas to the UK last year to revisit where I had previously lived as well as catch up with family whom I knew when young and those who had been born since...huge family now...
I often thought about having travelled over the equator....the flight apparently being the longest flight path in the world...
I see that you have an interest...something you might want to research a little more....is fascinating..
Not fixating on what we would like ...relates to thinking of the present ....living in the now...helps me tremendously...I know that the more you follow this path ...the calmer you will find yourself...you will also start to notice far more around you that is the important part of life...this will bring you more peace Eude..
Do you read books?
you are doing this already....you are a strong young man, kind, generous and caring with creative potential ....so please start accepting this....
when you feel up to it tell me when you last wrote something...is there a special environment where you find your thoughts flow more easily?
Your friend is very fortunate to have you running errands...
speak later

Hello @eudemonism
I lived in England...4 different times laugh...also elsewhere...
my parents both english....
so many of my relatives are still there...some have spread to europe or usa
we are the only ones to emigrate to Australia...
do you have any other nationalities in your family line?
the book that I was thinking of was "The Power Of Now" originally written in the 1990's...later editions now... the main principal being about living in the present moment....not past or future...it is also a book where you can refer to the index and start from any chapter that appeals...therefore a good reference book...
is available at the library...these days if they do not have it at your local one...they order it in for you from wherever it is available...
library is an interesting place to go to these days...not like they used to be..they also often have speakers there and also groups....you can find out lots of information about your local community...
I often go there when not feeling like being around others but needing to get out of the house...I just love books...
also there are some comfy areas where you can take books...magazines and just read them there...
they have music cds...talking cds...dvds to borrow as well...
I managed to get to the pool today to do some exercises as part of my rehabilitation...
are you managing any short walks or stretches?
Sophia not very interesting emoticons are they...

Good morning @eudemonism
Snap......I had a shocking night last night....was still awake at 3am then 4am...
alarm woke me up this morning.. so must have dropped off eventually....must have fallen asleep in awkward position as well....more pain in back first thing....
did do more exercise in pool for longer yesterday though...after having a week break...might be part of the reason...like yourself...could be a number of contributing factors re sleep...
more nicotine would affect your sleep....as well as coffee...later in the day is a huge factor....both of these are classified as stimulant drugs....
Not advisable to stop either cold turkey if having more than a few...affect heart..anxiety..
take it easy today having had little sleep....look after yourself..
any movement is good for the body..small frequent walks around the garden or house are a good start..
remembering to breathe not pace...avoiding anxiety..
Do you know which part of UK your father comes from?....they have shires..counties over there..He might have mentioned .....
take care Eude.....reply when you can
