Re: soul’s year of recovery

@soul Hi soul 😄 so you have a wonderful fella in your life 🙂 how fantastic is that! I am very happy for you.  I have been wondering where you have been and now I know you have better things to occupy yourself with Smiley Wink.

I think you are doing the right thing with your ex just ignore. He may never get the hint but that's okay that is not your problem.  It would be nice to get a boarder in for not only finances but company ... don't give up I am sure you will a nice, respectful one even with a animal 🙂

Good on you for walking every day and doing your yoga 5 days a week 😄 Very disciplined of you,  I have started qi gong which I love. I just follow it off various you tub sites and find it stimulating and restful at the same time 🙂

Happy to hear the kids are doing well and that your physical ailments aren't giving you too much grief. Sorry to hear about nasty sibs but what can you do family is family.

Stay in touch jellyfish you were missed :). Love greenpea xxx

Re: soul’s year of recovery

You have definitely got a lot in your life to be happy about now @soul I am so pleased this new relationship is based on mutual respect and that you can share things with him. I hope your ex stops those emails soon though - you deserve to be free of that annoyance Smiley Frustrated

Sorry that you still have pain in your shoulder and hand - often these things we 'get used to' as time goes on but it doesn't make it any less uncomfortable. I am still doing twice weekly hydrotherapy sessions for my back and although it is much better there is still the occasional twinge of pain - especially when I sit for too long.

I am so pleased that your mental state has improved - it makes such a difference in handling the physical pain - and vice versa. It is great to hear that you are feeling more positive within yourself - that is a huge win @soul

Keep up the positive attitude and keep us filled in on how it is all going - it is so lovely to hear that life is better for you Hon Smiley Very HappyHeart

I still get email notifications from this forum and saw the shoutout from @Faith-and Hope  the other day. With this Easter break, I will make the effort to reply. I frequently think of many of you and hope that your lives are filled with at least some joy if not a lot. It's been quite some time since I posted and a lot has happened since then.

There's a school of thought that everything that has happened leads you to where you are now. I would rather that some of the awful stuff hadn't occurred at all but everyday I wake up grateful for my present life and that is where I choose to focus.

I am still with the wonderful man I met three years ago and now we share a home together. We are enjoying life; sharing new experiences and daily life together. I have gone back to fulltime work which is both challenging and rewarding. It takes up a lot of my energy and the days are long. My kids continue to be an enormous source of happiness for me and I see them both regularly.

Life has its ups and downs for me with past events being triggered from time to time but I feel fortunate and perhaps a bit guilty knowing that so many of you may still be struggling for whatever reason. I wish you all the best and would love to know how things have been going.

One of my late mother's favourite sayings was that "All things must pass" and whether they be happy or sad times - indeed they do. Nothing stays the same and when we can't do anything about our circumstances, the best we can do is to change the way we view them. Stay safe and be hopeful. Love to you all xoxo.
