How are you Mumma Bear?
I have been struggling a bit lately.
Trauma is terrible.
Things that happened 44 years ago still trouble me today. Very hard to process!

Hi @Zoe7
I think it's natural that we all move on with our lives - things change and we have different priorities
I care about a lot of people here - there was a time when I spent a huge amount of time writing here and it was worthwhile
Covid changed everything - I wasn't greatly affected myself - I found it hard to respond to people talking about Covid issues - I understood but what could I say? - in Melbourne we had the record for the most days in lock-downs and I couldn't go to my aunt's funeral in Hobart
I guess we can still keep in touch from time to time
Sending genuine hugs

Hi hear you @Oaktree
It takes a toll - past trauma can haunt us - I am dealing with past trauma myself atm - it's hard work and there is no time limit - it can and does go back to childhood
The good news is that
that therapy can help - I've had dental phobia for over 40 years - I don't have problems with fillings - it's about extractions - I would freak out - I had one out a couple of weeks ago and I was totally laid back - something to be ready exciting to relate
It is a battle though - the past can really haunt us
Hugs

yesterday
I found it very similar @Owlunar2 as I was not affected much at all either. What did annoy me was when people would complain about lockdowns whilst essential workers (including teachers) were expected to be at work and face the possibility of being exposed daily. We did not have a choice as many kids were sent to school even when they were obviously unwell. We would send them straight home but by that time the damage was often done.
I was really sorry for you though that you could not go to the funeral - especially as I knew how much that would have meant to you. Strange times but hopefully society has learnt some lessons from it all.
I do agree we move on or change in so many ways - and sometimes that is a really good thing. I don't need to be here often to know that the people I care about will always be in my life in different ways - some as great memories and some as saviours ...you my dear Mummabear are both ❤️❤️❤️

That was a lovely post to read @Zoe7
I have not had the best day ever - that's okay - I can cope with it.
Then - this wonderful message - thanks so much
I feel the same way
