Re: Am Not Coping

Good morning @Zoe7 and all 😊☀️

Anything on today Zoe?

Hope it's a good/good enough one for all ❤

Re: Am Not Coping

Nothing planned @CheerBear but I do need to do some housework and some grocery shopping - both can wait if I am not up to it but I will try to get them done today.

Do you have anything planned?

Re: Am Not Coping

Two of my least favourite things that I seem to find myself doing (or thinking about doing) lots @Zoe7 :face_with_rolling_eyes: Hope you are able to do as much or as little as is right for you ☺

The kids and I are heading out this afternoon to do something fun that they haven't done before. Last proper day of school holidays before they head back to school on Monday. Clear blue skies here so far so crossing fingers it stays like that for the rest of the day as it's an outside thing ☺

Re: Am Not Coping

It is about finding the energy to do those things today if possible @CheerBear - I don't particularly enjoy them either but I do feel a little better when I have a clean house so that is my priority if I can deal with it today - it might also impropve my mood a little.

I hope the weather stays nice for you and your little fish and you can enjoy your outside outing. We have a week left of school holidays here - it makes me think of work myself a bit but I know there is nothing more I can do right now but what I am doing to try to get back to work - it is still some time away but working on a couple of days a week in term 4 - that is the plan but it does seem far from possible at this stage.

Re: Am Not Coping

Understanding how much of a struggle it can be to get those kinds of things done @Zoe7, but how they can also help lift us and make us feel better too. Hugs 💗

Also hugs for the work situation. Not studying and all that it meant and means is and was one of the biggest blows for me. Its shattered me and like you with school holidays, times like this (with semester 2 starting/just started etc) stings sometimes. I really hope you are able to find a work arrangement that works for you when the time is right. I can imagine how great you would be at what you were doing and how much it meant to you.

Re: Am Not Coping

Thank you @CheerBear - work is definitely something that I miss - especially the kids! It is a tough job at the best of times but working out how I am going to try to deal with going back and still keep my health on track is hard. I need to be physically as well as mentally able to cope and right now both my physical and mental wellbeing are nowhere near that stage. It is still some time off but I need to be back at work by December or I won't have any income coming in at all. Maybe though having that deadline will push me a bit harder - I know it will only be a month of work and then school holidays again so that should be plenty of time to see if I can still do the job.

I understand how much you would be feeling about not being able to study - very similar feelings for me and work - but I do hope you can get back to it some day CB Heart

Re: Am Not Coping

Sounds like a bit of a plan @Zoe7, though getting that there's a fine balance between pushing and stretching too far when it comes to physical and mental health. Can imagine it's a tough but really rewarding job.

Thanks. I was so close to finishing what was almost 5 years of study all up. I'm definitely not planning on letting it all go. Like it sounds is similar with you, it's a matter of being able to do it in a way that is going to work with the challenges though.
