My at home mental health retreat

Today I started Day 1 of my at home mental health retreat. Seeing as though I can't afford to go to a private psychiatric hospital (or a relaxation retreat) I thought I would be my own private psychiatrist and design a mental health rehabilitation program of my own.

Thanks to @Powderfinger for inspiring me and @periwinklepixie for the encouragement 😊

Here are some of the goals I'm working towards...

Having a shower every day

Cleaning my teeth every day

Going to bed at 9.30pm

Watching one of Ediya's videos before I go to sleep

Getting out of bed at 7am

Meditating for 20 minutes

Doing my affirmations in the mirror

Eating healthy food

Drinking lots of water

Taking my vitamins and antidepressants

Taking my Pug for a walk

Going for long walks in nature

Going to Yoga

Riding my bike to the river and back every day (once I have it)

Review of today...

I had a shower (and washed my hair with my salon quality shampoo and conditioner).

I cleaned my teeth.

I can't say I ate healthy food because I didn't eat enough vegetables today.

I drank lots of water.

I took my vitamins.

I listened to my audio book "The Body Keeps the Score" by Bessel Van Der Kolk.

Wow @Arizona

Well done for achieving so much today, you should be proud of yourself.

Your goals sound great. Keep up the good work 😄😄

Re: My at home mental health retreat

Exactly my thought @Snowie  - WOW.

You inspire me @Arizona ! I've never heard someone speak so confidently as their own private therapist! Well done!

Also know @Arizona , we're here for you 🙂

Re: My at home mental health retreat

Well done @Arizona that is awesome and thank you so much for sharing.

Looking forward to supporting your journey to recovery.

Go you!!

@Eve7 @BPDSurvivor @Snowie

Thank you very much for your support ❤

I went to bed at 9.30pm. It's after 2.30am now. I have been waking up through the night and trying to go back to sleep.

I just had some warm soy milk with honey and vanilla, and I'm about to watch one of Ediya's videos. I'm going to watch this one for anxiety:

Re: My at home mental health retreat

It's 5.30am and I have decided to get up and have my breakfast. I have been awake since 2.30am. I'm going to do a meditation for anxiety and then I will listen to my audio book.

Re: My at home mental health retreat

It's after 7am and I'm awake. I'm not getting out of bed. I'm too tired and my anxiety is very bad.

I did another meditation (for trauma). I'm finding it really hard to meditate at the moment.

I will go for a walk today.

Thanks for sharing @Arizona !

Hope a walk will help you feel better.

This is nothing short of ICONIC @Arizona

Can't wait to follow your journey on your retreat!

Also, that book changed my life! It can be a bit challenging at times but I hope it serves you well. 🙂
