Re: Living with Ourselves
Hello lovely @Shaz51
I am still a bit all over the place with how I am feeling...
A build up of emotions coming to the fore from a fair amount of loss and grief over the last few years...
It does come and go...
I am not feeling weighed down all of the time..
Gardening is so very good for me ..
I am impatient for everything to grow and burst into flower..
We have achieved so much since starting early december last year..
How are you and Mrs Shaz?
Did you manage to get away at all?
Sophia 💛

Re: Living with Ourselves
A quick hello @Jacques
It is too windy to be out in the garden today..
There has been some rain ....more the wind that stops me from going outside..
I have been transplanting new shoots of cottage plants that are reseeding..
I am spacing them out and introducing them to other areas..
I am impatient for them to grow though..
No walking ..
The other day I heard kookaburras from across the road in the park...
I was gardening..
Not thinking I walked across and down close to the river following their laugh..they would stop everytime I moved..
I walked around the area several times then walked back across the road to my garden...
Within less than 5 minutes a kookaburra had followed me and was up in our very old huge gum tree singing away to me..
I felt blessed...
The bird sensed my interest..
I was in my gardening clothes...wellington boots....large hat ...gardening gloves...sunglasses...
what a sight...
hope that you can have a short 5 minute walk.. anywhere with nature..
💛💛 Sophia

Re: Living with Ourselves
hello my @Sophia1
How are you and Mr Shaz?
Did you manage to get away at all? -- yes we did get away for the weekend , my aunty and niece did drop in to see if my mum was ok
but I think the weekend away had a terrible effect on my mum for the whole week , I don`t think she coped on her own during that time
we have had a very big week of anxiety for my mum and mr shaz and sleepless nights for me xoxo

Re: Living with Ourselves
hi @Sophia1
it is a rainy night here, im just relaxing with my girlfriend and thought i would jump in and say hi 🙂
i hope the wind and rain has finished up and you could get out in the garden today, it was a beautiful day here today, i did a bit of work in the garden, worked on the shed and my mountian bike.
have you tried seasol? it is a sea weed solution, it is amazing to help plants grow so fast if you are in a hurry to get them growing.
i love love kookaburra's im so glad you went over to look at them, they are a majestic creature. we get them on our fence of an afternoon, they sit a few meters of my office desk. i love seeing them every day
im so glad they followed you, my mum always said you can tell a persons character if an animal trusts you.
they must really trust you and care for you, i love wildlife.
hugs my dear friend

Re: Living with Ourselves
Hello @Jacques
Lovely to hear back from you my friend..
I did log on briefly last night I think although did not have the time to reply..
You had a beautiful day allowing you to get out into the garden and work in your shed..
You mentioned fixing your mountain bike also...
I hope that is inspiring you to venture out from your home no matter how briefly..
On one occasion when I was in the clinic..I was talking about not being able to walk outside...basically feeling frozen to the spot when going near the doors to outside..
The Nurse suggested...walk outside of the doors to the gate and back at first...
I did! I went outside of the gate and walked to the phone box...(typical me...pushing myself further straight away)
He beamed when I let him know..
After that I was able to return to morning walks from the clinic...front of the walk at a fast pace...to be told slow down you must remain in sight laugh..
That is my aim from here...I have not been back since the kookaburra excursion..
We have had strong winds every day...
Yesterday raining with strong winds..
Attended specialist appointment with husband...Some good..some not so good news..
further tests required.. medication etc.
Seasol I remember from years ago ..yes was very good.
I laid down some slow release osmocote I think the brand name was..
Flowers have opened since last writing..
Having kookaburras land on your fence in the afternoon says the same about you Jacques...As your mum taught you..
I know this already about you.
You have a beautiful heart and those kookaburras are singing joy to you...
I wonder if they are calling you to join nature...their world..
Yes wildlife.....has a beauty undescribable...just like nature never failing to offer new sights and smells..
Great to hear that you and your girlfriend are relaxing together..
Special times for you both...
Your love for each other will always be instrumental in helping your mental health..
hugs back my dear friend also
💛

Re: Living with Ourselves
Hi @Sophia1
that is awesome you got help walking out and about, sometimes even a small walk can be challenging, i know it is for me, i do try to get out of the house a little every day mainly around the yard, very rarely out of it, my bushes have lots of bee's in them at the moment the whole shrub humms with them, they are such beautiful creatures, i can put my head right into the shrub and they don't bother me, they are too busy gathering polin.
that is ok that you have not been out since the other day, jsut do your best and enjoy nature where you can.
it was so sos cold here yesterday and so windy i went out but not for long, it was snowing in some parts around where i live.
i was on the phone to my girlfriend yesterday when the erath quake happened, it was scary seeing it first hand. i could hear the windows rattle and the whole room was moving. a few pictures fell but no damage.
thank you for the kind words my friend, im tired of being angry, i did that for years and it only hurt me, not anyone else. i just want to live in pease and be kind, the person i most look up to is Keanu Reeves he is such a kind and caring person, i looks up to him so much.
well time to rest with my partner, we are watching some reno shows tonight.
hugs my friend
Jacques
