Whaddya reckon everyone... Black Forest Hot Chocs to go with it? We had hail earlier today so it's cool enough here that hot drinks sound nice.

I've just come home with Stout (Guinness) - Which I've not had any of, for about 15 years.

I actually like the stuff - A bit like thick brown Tar, really....

I just felt in the mood for some - Very strange, as I don't have moods very often.

@Adge, the fiddliest part is making the chocolate sponge cake. Once that's safely out of the oven, it's actually kinda fun layering everything up. You marinate the cherries in liquer, drizzle the cherry-ish liquid over the cake, cream filling between the layers, maybe studded with a few of the cherries... ganache icing and more cream and cherries... totally indulgent, and at its best if you make it far enough ahead to leave it sitting in the fridge for at least a few hours so everything infuses with the cherry grog. Nyummy.
